Well today I saw a bundle of them, all in dazzling colors, up and away, slipped the custody of a poor old balloon vendor. It left him slumped on the ground, holding on to what is left of his inflatable merchandise. Business gone with the wind.
Interestingly, a kindhearted motorist pulled over and tried to console his loss with a few hundred pesos. The old man couldn’t thank enough. But it just wouldn’t take away the sadness in his eyes. Anyway, that samaritan on a chestnut Honda with plate number NWQ710 deserves a special mention here today. Kind people are the best kind of people.
