While everybody’s busy spreading cheers this season, I shall brag about how I got a loud cheer plus some feet stomping (and Senator Chirume can attest to this) after my discussion on the public finance and budget management system at the Central University of Finance and Economics auditorium in Beijing.
Well. With a restless audience who’re itching to step outside and have their uncontrolled shopping convulsion, I slashed my discussion to nothing more than five minutes. 5 minutes! A topic prepared from sunup to sundown delivered in five minutes. Hence, the jubilation from the gallery. So cheers to my colleagues at CUFE! May the Silk Street wreck your wallets and pockets.
Cheers number two goes to Mr. Zhou Jianhuan and the whole Chinese Embassy for giving me the opportunity to set foot on mainland China and its provinces AND for the grand cocktail “The China Experience” at the Shangri-La just before Christmas. The food, the wine. It’s good to be alive!
Lastly, I’d like to raise a glass this New Year to some amazing folks here in this blogosphere: Sheila and her delectable cuisines out there in the States; Susan the baijou-hater who is always lost in China; and great traveler, Rory Alexander. AND of course, certainly, definitely, indubitably — to all of you my dear followers! Aint it fun!
Time to leave you now with Ms. Denikka Aubrey’s alluring smile!
