So how’s your Sunday? The only reason I’m asking other people how their Sunday was, (and this is quoting Chuck Palahniuk) is so I can tell about our own weekend.
Well to clear away the rust of the whole week, the brother hauled the kids and us kids-at-heart on a pre-dawn trip to the Clark Freeport Zone for the 4th and final day of the annual Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. The event also coincides with the celebration of the centennial year of airplanes in the Philippines. To a degree, it was an awesome day for a rendezvous with almost everything that flies! And just what is it that we did here that’s worth blowing our own horn:
First, we breathe in some cool and crisp February air with an unbroken view of sunrise..
We feasted our eyes on some dirigibles..
Then we took a spin around 600th Air Base at the Air Force City because you see, some things is in dire need of a little inspection.
Later at teatime, when people started brandishing their command in kite flying, we followed suit!
However, this huge and jazzy mademoiselle was a non-performance.
And for a parting shot, a farewell bid from Mr. Chrome.
