And now some exercises for those tired ol’ necks. But first the source: a book I came across some bargain nook inside Robinson’s Place in Manila. I found it lying there and, in a short while, lost it to the crowd. But not before I have scanned its pages with my 1.44MB photographic memory.
Now according to the book, this neck exercise was popularly used by the Chinese during the I-cant-remember-the-name Dynasty. So this must be really good (?). This actually is a very simple exercise but could only get complicated once you have to the need to fill in the onlookers’ curious minds.
Lets do it! You are going to write four Chinese characters (or at least what seems like it) using, not a pencil nor a pen. But, your HEAD!
So stand up straight now with your arms on the side and follow these patterns. Write an inverted letter J, then a dash on top of it, then a comma. Next, write the number 1, 7 and 3. Next, write three dashes stacked up on each other. Then write the number 7 with a hook of a J. And finally write four successive dots. Repeat as long as you are interested. Enjoy!
