So they’re making it big now in Lilio.
No doubt the footwear industry here has blossomed. Now they have this annual Gat Tayaw Tsinelas Festival which has become another sought-after local tourist attraction and, they now pride themselves with the title The Footwear Capital of Laguna. Pardon me, but the last time we’ve been here was only to grab us some lambanog, nothing more. About a decade ago. And BTW, “Lilio” is the old American spelling for Liliw, a cool and gentle boondock right at the foot of Mount Banahaw.
