You’ve just clicked on a Colourfield’s Music Video..NOT! This is just yours truly performing a “borrowed” rendition of the Windmills of your Mind, straight from the office’s smoking lounge (also called the Hearing room). All work and no guitar play makes a dull boy. So drop the paperwork and pick up that digicam.
In this “Windmills” MTV, I resorted to a handful of props necessary to jazz up the video: An acoustic guitar from a bible-teaching group, an unplugged gooseneck microphone from the conference room, a ragtag headset playing the tune to guide me through the entire melody, and a late-afternoon sun rays by the bay window for the lighting effects. And, excuse me, a little puff from a Marlboro lights. The challenging part is the lip-syncing. I picked a tune I know so well like the Colourfield’s version of the Windmills of your Mind so I won’t have a hard time matching my lip movements with the song. And finally, after a few “takes,” it’s off to the desktop for the final touches.
Now back to work.
