Mount Pulag

Thirteen years ago, at the height of our crack mountaineering days, we trained our eyes on the country’s second highest mountain. So on one stormy November day, we found ourselves at the top of Mount Pulag.  This is my sentimental journey to that ardous trek and these fading shots I found from my  baul.

The final stretch to the peak. What could be the clearest shot on that stormy day, provide as a consolation. Because what greeted us at the summit was violent winds and zero visibility. They say the best time to scale this mountain is during the first quarter of the year (the finest months in the Philippines), unfortunately we have to content ourselves with our best available time. You could say the weather deprived us of the spectacular view of the whole moutainous north , but.. aint it fun!
